A quick update!
We passed Baby "Lorenzo" Woodrose event last night and I can't wait to see the vids from both interview and live set. UPDATE WATCH THEM NOW HERE

It was RL vs. Virtual at its best since we managed to transform my RL livingroom into a recording studio. Even my friend who controlled Lorenzos inworld avatar was there!
Set up with 2 laps, 1 desk, 3 LAN, multimixer, 3 headsets, 3 Skypes/SL Voice, 1 mike, 1 guitar and 1 reverb machine (infact the exact same copy as sixties psych legends 13th Floor Elevators used at their "Bull of the Woods" album recording back in 1968!)
Add beers and u prolly get the picture! It was a blast!
Must be stated it was an exercise in tech OMG but we f...n made it!

Giant Mankind Tracer event Friday!

Friday the 13th 2 PM SLT
Mankind Tracer aka Set Regan will come visit Pop Art Lab. For this giant event we have set up big concert dome at bay area few hundred meters from PAL in the center of 4 sims. We expect more than 200 avis coming. For those who don't know Mankind heres info:

Winning the 2008 Best of SL Award for Best Live Performer in SL and voted Best SL Live Performer 2008 from Vain. Inc. Reader's Choice Awards, Mankind Tracer has been labeled "Second Life's Premiere Rock Performer" for good reason. His ability to perform characature vocal impressions of the artists he covers is unprecendented here in SL. Besides covering the best rock hits from the 70's forward, he always includes a handful of his incredible original music in every performance to a packed audience. The vibe at his shows is uplifting and he truly cares about the people he performs to, often offering his insight on current events and both RL and SL issues. The floor is always open for residents to speak as well and Mankind makes himself readily available to all his friends and fans across the globe.

Pop Art Lab wish U all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

2009 will be focusing on consolidate and keep pushing the 2-D web into 3-D. As a start we set up a new site to socialize the 3-D Pop Art Lab members into 2-D - still beta but feel free to join!

Long before the birth of Pop Art Lab I set up my MySpace account and I finally decided to share 2-3 years of music which in some way impressed me during officehours! Go check it out lots of cool music there!

Speaking.... picking up the pieces -> popartlab.com will be launched 2009 and try to incorporate all features ONE place!

New TV logo and updates

Glad to present our coming logo for the SLCN shows designed by Xray Haller owner of the 777 League sims. Fantastic job X baby!
Currently PAL is finishing the soon to be opened underground club in the newly discovered city deep down under PAL.
Also we prepare Greg "The Cars" Hawkes 3D TV show and further shows are under construction.
If you know any cool talented RL artists drop me a line. We will be helpfull with all technical issues even handling the avatars.

Official PAL Opening 5th-7th of September

PAL invites everyone interested in music for the opening! Starting Friday the 5th of September there will be party, DJs, concerts, game activity and contests throughout the weekend. Also in the planning are forums discussing music "in world", presentation of specific music styles etc. Lastly we will speed up streams and present all new important releases in between and throughout the weekend.

Schedules for the weekend will be posted here and in world soon.

Feedback - Help to get this service better!

Pop Art Lab is a test project presenting new music (and videos soon). PAL presents selected goodies among 10.-20.000 CDs released each year. From popular to underground it gives you the opportunity to listen wherever you are RL or SL.

PAL support and loves music and ain't based on pirate network - If you like what you hear go out buy and support your favourite artists. They deserve it!

Untill now roughly 3 new streams are set up weekly consisting of 4 streams/CDs each. Which means listeners being offline few days might miss the beat. Get in contact if you miss anything and we will try to do a re-setup. This blog will soon be fully updated and you can check out actual playlists weekly.

Concerning the selection and service in general we will be very pleased to hear your opinion!
